Sawston Youth Group - Heritage funded events
The group has just been awarded a Heritage Lottery Grant (December 2025) to research those who died in WW1 whose names appear on the Sawston War Memorial.
This project will start in June 2026 with an exhibition in November 2026 at the Mary Chalis House.
The project will be undertaken by young people who are members of SYG and will include a trip to the France & Belgium Battlefields, a visit to the National Arboretum at Stafford and a visit to the Imperial War Museum, London.
